Growth Hacks

#1. How to not tank your AOV🚫📉

In-cart cross-sells can boost AOV, but only if you’re featuring the right products.

A Baymard study found that product recommendations are either irrelevant or only based on other customers’ purchases from 52% of sites.

It’s 2023. Most customers expect a customized online shopping experience, which is why getting your cross-selling right is so important. Here are a few tips to help you up your cross-selling game:

  1. Try not to limit the number of products displayed. One relevant suggestion will do much more good than five irrelevant ones.

  2. Be careful when listing alternative products. You might make your buyer second guess themselves at checkout. Try to suggest products that complement rather than compete with each other.

  3. Label your product suggestions to give your customers context. Consider using labels like "Inspired by Your Browsing History," "Frequently Bought Together," or "Other Products in This Collection." Customers are more likely to pay attention to your product suggestions if you give them a reason to.

#2. Use Reddit to boost your Google SEO📈

Finding low-competition SEO keywords is challenging enough, but Reddit might make your SEO endeavors a lot easier. Here’s how:

  1. Find a subreddit related to your business.

  2. Drop the subreddit link into a keyword generation tool like Ahrefs and look for the keywords the subreddit page ranks for.

  3. Use those keywords to optimize your existing content.

#3. Increase sign-ups and social media engagement at the same time 😎

If your company has an event coming up and its socials are looking dry, here’s a tip that’ll help you kill two birds with one stone:

Tell your followers to comment on the event announcement post to be sent the sign-up link. This way, you’ll boost sign-ups and increase your social media engagement.
