#2. Lessons learned from growing Zoom into a $1B company
In 2012, Eric S. Yuan launched a limited version of Zoom. While in this closed stage, he emailed every customer personally that canceled their service to understand why.
So when Zoom fully launched in 2013, here's a few things he learned from those emails and put into practice:
- Offered a Freemium version
- Made it possible to join calls by just clicking a link - no signup or software installation needed
- Established partnerships with other software companies, like Logitech and Vaddio
- Encouraged 1,400 educational institutions to join
Now, Zoom has 400M+ subscribers and is valued at over $1B

So how can your business get on the Threads train early? Use your Twitter activity as a starting point.
Start with the written content that's performing well on Twitter. Then, try adding in photos/video content that's performing well on your other socials.
Basically, your Threads account should look like a combination of your Twitter and Instagram feeds. There's no need to reinvent the wheel and create entirely new content for Threads - yet. . .
